08/03/2025 – Fabiano Caruana is the winner of the extremely richly endowed Champions Showdown 2025, which this year was inspired by the chess triathlon organized in Biel since 2019. Indeed, six of the eight best players in the USA competed in a tripartite blitz, rapid and semi-classic (60’+30”) competition. Wesley So took second place ahead of Levon Aronian.
