02/10/2024 – Magnus Carlsen won Division I of the Julius Baer Generation Cup 2024 by beating Alireza Firouzja 2⅛-1⅛ in the grand final. After three hard-fought draws, the world No. 1 found a brilliant way to break through (40.e6!!) in the fourth and final game. In all three divisions, there was no reset.
