18/02/2025 – Eight invited players, including Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura and Alireza Firouzja, have been selected for the Chessable Masters finals. Wei Yi won the Play-In Open and thus automatically joined this group. The seven other qualifiers had to go through a knockout competition.
