08/29/2024 – Alireza Firouzja has repeated his 2022 feat by winning back-to-back Rapid & Blitz de Saint-Louis and Sinquefield Cup titles, as well as the overall Grand Chess Tour (GCT) ranking! Second and third place went to Fabiano Caruana and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, in both the GCT 2024 and the Sinquefield Cup. A draw against R. Praggnanandhaa in the final round was all Firouzja needed to take first place in both the Sinquefield Cup and the GCT 2024.
