Hundreds of thousands of new games played in 2023 have been added to the new Mega Database 2024. Many of these games have been played by renowned GMs and are annotated by well-known ChessBase authors.
The Mega menu makes it easy to prepare your games, search for tournaments, find annotated games or access all the games of certain players.
It’s easy to find all the important tournaments: all world championship duels (including women’s, juniors and veterans) have been integrated, and most of the most important tournaments can be accessed directly from the menu, with tables, all games and texts giving you additional information and previews.
In this new edition, you’ll find all the games from the Nepomniachtchi-Ding duel at the 2023 World Championship, as well as all the games and rankings from recent tournaments such as Wijk aan Zee 2023, Biel Masters 2023 or Norway Chess 2023, as well as fast online tournaments like the Grand Chess Tour or the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. Many of them are accompanied by annotations and analyses from GMs, making them easier to understand.
Preparing for your next opponent is child’s play: with the Mega Database, it takes just seconds to find all your opponent’s games! The repertoire overview shows you the variants your opponent likes to play, and the statistics reveal his weaknesses. The reference search makes it easy to find critical opening positions: just place the position on the board and press the desired button.
You can filter games, for example by date, or start your search for annotated games that will enable you to delve deeper into specific opening positions.
Search for a specific player in the database: simply type the player’s name.
