18/02/2024 – The Mitropacup takes place in Apolda (Thuringia) from February 15 to 23. As usual, the participants are France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Solvenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Croatia. Germany, the only team taking part with exclusively GMs, is the clear favorite, with an Elo average of over 2600. The French team, seeded n°5, is made up of Girel, Makkar, Velten, Decuignière and Guidarelle. The Swiss team, seeded no. 3, features Georgiadis, Bogner, Bänziger, Fecker and Gallagher. | In the women’s tournament, Germany also has the best Elo average (2309). The Swiss, with Hakimifard, Georgescu, Hryzlova, Manko and Pellicoro, are seeded No. 4, and the French are No. 6, with Iglesias, Schippke, Navrotescu and Blanquet.
