The chess pieces are sculpted, chased and polished by hand in solid silver- and gold-colored metal on the theme of Napoleon 1st, Josephine and her army.
The Napoleon theme is widely used in chess sets, but this one is particularly well executed in terms of the characters and sculptural details.
The associated chessboard is made of black leatherette and includes a felted storage box integrated into the board.
